Career

Taapsee Pannu started her career as a software engineer after completing her graduation in computer sciences. She started modelling and pursued her passion and was selected for Channel V’s famous show “Get Gorgeous” and soon she was seen on the commercials of different brands like Coca-Cola, Motorola, PVR Cinemas and many other commercials.

Taapsee Pannu made her debut in the Telugu Film Industry in the year 2010 with the movie “Jhummandi Naadam” and from then she has acted in many movies in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. In the year 2011 she made her debut in the Tamil Film industry with the film “Aadukalam” and in the same year, she made her debut in Malayalam Film Industry with the movie “Doubles”. In 2013 she was first seen in the Bollywood Film Industry in the movie “Chashme Baddoor” for which she also received many awards and nominations. Currently, in 2019 she is working on two movies “Mission Mangal” and Saand Ki Aankh”.

She received threats of killing her from the Sikh community due to her tweets on the controversies regarding the smoking seen in the movie “Manmarziyaan” in 2018. In the year 2012, there was a rumour that she was a reason behind the fight between the actors Mahat Raghavendra and Manchu Manoj.
