Sunil Grover, who recently has turned 41 (in 2018) was born on 3rd August, 1977. He is 5 feet and 8 inches tall. 

Marriage/Relationships

Sunil Grover is quite impressive in keeping his personal life secretive. He hardly gave away anything when things came to past affairs and relationship. But we certainly know that he is married to Aarti, who is an interior designer by profession. She likes to stay away from the glam and glitz of Bollywood.

Family

Sunil Grover is the son of a bank manager, JN Grover. He has two siblings - an elder sister and a younger brother. Also, not much is known about his mother. Sunil was quite keen on pursuing acting from a very young age. After completing his school in Mandi Dabwali, he went on to pursue graduation from Guru Nanak college. He also holds a master degree in theatre from Panjab University, Chandigarh. 

Career

He began his career under the guidance of Jaspal Bhatti. In fact, his comic talent was unearthed by late Jaspal Bhatti. He acted in India's first silent comedy show Gutur Gu. But he got his share of reckoning with the various characters that he played in the Kapil Sharma Show. Some of the most liked characters were Gutthi, Dr. Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi.

Very few among us know that he started his career in Bollywood way back in 1998 from the movie Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha which had Ajay Devgan and Kajol in lead. From thereon, he did a series of Bollywood movies like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Ghajini, Zila Ghaziabad, Heropanti, Gabbar is Back, Baaghi, Patakha and Bharat. 

Controversies

Sunil Grover was involved in a huge controversy with Kapil Sharma. Apparently, the two comedians turned actors were involved in a huge spat when they were returning from one of their international shows. Though the two actors have moved on, it did leave an impact on both of their careers. 

Awards

In the year 2014, he received the award for Star Parivaar Award for Favourite Mezban, and the ITA Award for Special Mention Comic Icon in the year 2018.
