Sivakarthikeyan is married to Aarthi, whom he started dating before getting married. Both tied knots in August 2010. They have a daughter named Aaradhana, who was born in 2013.

Sivakarthikeyan is the son of Mr. G. Doss and Mrs. Raji Doss, who was born in Singampunari, Tamil Nadu. Mr. G. Doss served as a Jail Superintendent, who left this world in 2003. Sivakarthikeyan has a sister, who is a doctor by profession.

Career

Sivakarthikeyan started his career by working as a TV personality at Star Vijay channel and by appearing in a short film in 2007. He remained a TV personality for around six years. Film Marina was Siva’s debut movie, which was released in 2012. 

He also starred in 3 and Manam Kothi Paravai. In 2013, Siva appeared in 3 movies, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Ethir Neechal, and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. All these three movies were box office success and received above average reviews from the audience. Sivakarthikeyan sang his first movie song in Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. This movie proved to be the biggest success of Sivakarthikeyan till date. 

2014 came up with Siva’s comedy movie Maan Karate, which was a production of A R Murugadoss. This comedy movie was a commercial success. In 2015, Siva worked in two movies Kaaki Sattai and Vajrakaya. 

He has also starred in several other movies including Rajini Murugan, Romeo, Velaikkaran, Seema Raja, and Kaana. Kaana was produced by Sivakarthikeyan himself. The lyrics of the song “Kalyana Vayasu” from the movie Kolamavu Kokila was written by Siva.
