Nivin Pauly is an Indian actor-cum-Producer who has been active in the Malayalam film industry.

Pauly was born on 11th October 1984 and is 34 years of age as in 2018. He is five feet nine inches in height.

Marriage/Relationships

Nivin Pauly had been in a relationship since long. He, therefore, married his longtime girlfriend, Rinna Joy on 28th August 2010. The marriage ceremony commenced at St. Dominic Catholic Church at Aluva, Kochi.

Family
 

Pauly was born into a Catholic family. His father Pauly Bonaventure worked in Switzerland. His mother was a nurse at the Swiss hospital. Pauly was brought up in Kerala and visited his parents during the vacations. He has two children with Rinna Joy, a son and a daughter. The name of their son is Daveed Pauly who was born in the year 2012.

Career
 

Nivin has had an eventful career in the Malayalam film industry. He first applied for the audition of the movie Malarvaadi Arts Club but was not shortlisted. He, however, got a second chance in this audition and made through. He after that acted in movies like The Metro and Sevens. He also made a brief appearance in movies like Traffic and Spanish Masala. His movie in the year 2012, Thattathin Marayathu was a big hit. 

He has also appeared in a Tamil movie called Neram. In 2014, Nivin played a vital role in the movie 1983 which was a directorial debut of Abrid Shine. He was also the led actor in romantic comedy Ohm Shanti Oshaana in which he was cast as Giri.

His other movies include Bangalore days, Vikramadithyan, Mili, Ivide, Oru Vadakkan Selfie. His movie Premam has become one of the highest grossing Malayalam movies. 

Controversies

Nivin Pauly was in a sort of controversy in the year 2013 when the Film Employee Federation of Kerala complained against him citing indiscipline by the actor on the film set. However, Nivin Pauly always denied these allegations.

Awards

Nivin Pauly has won numerous awards including the Asianet Film Award for best Star Pair in the year 2013 and 2014. For the Tamil movie Neram in 2014, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut (South). His latest award was the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Malayalam) for Action Hero Biju in 2017.
