Age and Height

Mahira Khan was born in Karachi, Pakistan on 21st December 1984. She is currently 34 years of age. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall. Mahira Khan is the face to watch out for in near future. She is extremely gorgeous, which goes quite well along with her acting skills.  

Marriage/Relationships

Mahira Khan was married to Ali Askari in the year 2007. It is speculated that they first met in 2006 Los Angeles. It was a traditional marriage, but words out that her father was against the marriage of the couple. Though they went ahead and got married, they also have a child, Azian. Quite surprisingly, the couple got divorced in 2015.

Family

Mahira Khan was born into a Pathan family, where Urdu was the primary language of communication. Her father Hafeez khan was originally from India as he was born in India. But after the partition, he had to move to Pakistan and the entire family got settled there. She has a younger brother named Hassan Khan, who is a Journalist by profession. 

Career

Today people know her as a famous actress, but the journey towards becoming the star that she is today began with VJ. Yes, she was initially a VJ in 2006, she used to host shows for MTV Pakistan. She has also hosted a talk show named Weekends with Mahira. 

Mahira Khan made her debut with the movie Bol, which had Atif Aslam in the lead, the movie was directed by Shoaib Mansoor. In the same year when the movie was released, she made her debut in the small screen with a drama show called Neeyat. She was seen in TV serials like Humsafar, which in a way brought her to limelight among the common masses. 

She has done a host of other TV shows, which include Sarmad Khoosat, TUC- ‘The Lighter Side of Life’, which is another one of those talk shows. She has also acted in the movie Bin Roye, which was a hit and was later included in the small screen as a TV serial with the same name. 

Her entry into the Bollywood came opposite to none other than Shahrukh Khan in the film ‘Raees’. Though she had to face a lot of backlash because of her being a Pakistani and the Uri attack was one of the prominent reasons behind her facing the staunch criticism.

Lately, she has been quite active in the Pakistan film industry. In the year 2017, she has done a movie called Verana and in the following year, she was in a completely different avatar in the movie ‘7 Din Mohabbat’. 

Controversies

In the year 2016, she was threatened by one of the powerful parties in Mumbai and was asked to leave the country, post the Uri attack. She even was not allowed to promote her movie debut Bollywood movies Raees.
