Marriage/Relationships

Amyra Dastur has accepted being in a serious relationship with someone and he is not from the film industry. However, she has also mentioned that she has no plans to get married any time soon as her mother wants all her children to live their lives to the fullest before settling down and starting a family.

Career

Amyra started her career as a model and acted in many television commercials. She was a part of television commercials for brands like Vodafone, Dove, Micromax and Clean & Clear. Few of the commercials were shot before she got fame with her Bollywood debut.
Then she got signed for her first movie, Issaq opposite Prateik Babbar. The movie was directed by Manish Tiwari and was not a major breakthrough in her career as it was not a success in the box office. However, she continued getting movie offers.
Later she also acted in two more Hindi movies which are – Mr X directed by Siya Verma in the year 2015 and Rajma Chawal directed by Tara Chaudhary and came in the year 2018. Her new Hindi movie is soon going to come out in the year 2019. The title of the movie is Kaalakaandi and the film also stars Saif Ali Khan.
If asked, Amyra Dastur describes Bollywood or the Hindi movie industry as high school where people do not mean what they say.
She has also acted in a number of Telugu and Tamil movies. However, the highlight in her career is her film Kung Fu Yoga where she was cast alongside the famous Jacky Chan.

Controversies

When former Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta came back to India and started the #metoo movement, Amyra Dastur also joined the movement. She openly agreed to the fact that Bollywood and the South Indian movie industry is not a very beautiful place as it seems from outside. She has openly admitted that she too has faced violence and ugly situations both in Bollywood and the South Indian movie industry. However, she does not yet feel strong or safe enough to take the name of the culprits or narrate the incidents.
