Marriage/Relationship 

Akshara is unmarried. There were rumours about her dating first to Tanuj Virwani and later to Vivaan Shah. Both are actors in the Indian Film Industry. 

Family

Akshara is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Her father, Kamal Haasan is a renowned actor cum Indian filmmaker. Her mother, Sarika Thakur was an Indian actress of her times. She has an elder sibling named Shruti Haasan, who is also an actor. 

Career

Akshara completed her schooling education from Abacus Montessori School, Lady Andal, Beacon High School and Indus International School. 

In the year 2010, Akshara stepped in as an assistant director for the movie Society. This movie was directed by Rahul Dholakia. While building her career as an assistant director, Akshara received many opportunities for playing the lead roles in many movies. However, at that moment, Akshara felt it necessary to continue with her directional profession and turned down all the offers. 

Soon, she made her professional acting debut with the movie Shamitabh. Here, she starred in opposition to Dhanush. This movie even starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead actor’s role. The film was officially released in the year 2015. Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana and Vivegam were her next official releases of the year 2017.

In the year 2015, Akshara Haasan rose to controversial issues when she came across a wardrobe malfunctioning during the trailer launch of her debut movie. 

In 2010, Akshara faced problems when she criticized her entire team for promoting her next film with an inappropriate promotional strategy.
